"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Milestone

Today is Alvin’s first day to a family care. Also, today is Alvin’s first time to call mama!!!

These two events sound unrelated but they actually are. Because of the discomfort with the new environment, our poor Alvin cried for his mom for the first time, “wu..wu..ma..ma..”. Once he learned to mumble it, he couldn’t stop making the “ma” sound throughout the whole day. This is the most rewarding moment for his Mom and the most terrifying moment for his Dad. The desperate Dad made an astounding announcement this evening, “Alvin, from now on, you will be under my care.”

Other than the “wu..wu..ma..ma..” expression, Alvin did very well for his first day out of his comfort zone. He just cried a little in the morning but most of the time, he was a happy and curious baby watching others playing and singing. It is the first step for our little Alvin to be out in this world!

Shoe Fashion

Alvin got into the shoe business with his grandma as her shoe model. Grandma is very versatile. She designed and knitted shoes with various styles and they are all rich in colors.

2 Days Apart

Alvin: You were supposed to come out 10 days after me but you actually came out 2 days earlier than me! That is unfair. Now I have to call you big sister. And, you even want to show me you are in charge. I am deeply sad.

Megan: Sorry

Alvin: OK ... but it is only because you are a pretty young lady.

The Super Bowl

Well, The Bears got dumped.
My Uncle Eddie in Chicago maybe disappointed.
My mom lost 20 bucks to my dad.
So, what?! Can you see a raising star here?
