"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

North Beach Diet

Alvin is on North Beach Diet now. What is North Beach Diet? Whatever foods South Beach Diet tries to avoid, we have them all on Alvin's plate! Alvin has gained some weight already. Can you tell?

Actually, a miracle just happened on last Saturday - Alvin started liking foods!!! He can now suck in all the foods we give to him within minitues. It used to take 90 minitues for Mom to feed him, but now it cut down to 10 minitues, and 10 times more foods! At some point, we started worrying if we overfed him.

Also, in the past month, Alvin has picked up quite a few new motor skills. He now can do Military Crawling (using forearms to pull forward instead of using hands and knees), pull up from sitting position to standing position, move around by holding funitures or walkers, get into a sitting position from tummy (he loves this new freedom because he doesn't need to be on tummy anymore), and get into crawling position from sitting position.

Natural History

Parents truly believe Early Childhood Education is important to Alvin so they took him to the Museum of Natural History in DC. The result? While everyone was looking UP to see the giant Dinosaurs, Alvin was looking DOWN to check his toes. Maybe he was comparing his with theirs? What can we say? At his age, Alvin can only recognize his bottles and toys.
