Eden Center etc.

While Grandparents were here visiting, we toured around the area. We had a nice Vietnam meal at Eden Center, attended a train show at Fairfax Expo center, and visited Brookside garden.

This train show is full of antique and collectible toys that parents cannot afford. But, it was nice to take the boys to see all different trains and cars.

We always wonder why toddlers always put left foot in right side shoe and right foot in left side shoe. But, Alvin did it right this time, but with different shoes. If you think that is not embarrassed enough, in the afternoon on the same day in a grocery store, he got caught with two left side shoes.

Survival 101

Having two boys for so long, we have learned some survival skills. The most important one is to wear them out before they wear you out. Following will show you how we actually did that just during a regular weekend. Actually, it was a regular weekend with grandparents, uncle and cousin Sammie in town!

Early Saturday morning, we had a little warm-up in Black Hill park (not pictured). In the afternoon, we visited National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, VA.

The moment the boys entered into the museum, they both pointed out their fingers to the aircraft. They just got too excited!

Cousin Sammie really knows how to have a movie star pose.

Followed by the museum visit, we attended Aaron's big 5 birthday party. The boys didn't help to blow out candles, but they did help to "trash" the playroom.

One would think the boys would be totally tired by what they did on Saturday. But, on Sunday, Mason woke up at 5:30am to make sure we got to DC earlier enough to have a good parking spot.

After a short nap in the car and a late lunch at McDonald, the boys were all "juiced up" for the 2009 Montgomery County Fair!

You know how hard it was for Mom to carry a 27 pounds Mason around town. As you could predict, the boys survived at the end, not the parents.

My very special

Balloons, candles, cake, foods and birthday song, shared with friends and family, that sounds like an ordinary birthday party but it is very special for Alvin. Alvin told Mom that he wanted to have a birthday party and we surely granted it to him.

It is a birthday party in his 3's room in the daycare! He was so proud of himself because all his friends got excited and even jealous! Showtime!

Mom spent sometime in preparing goodie bags for his friends. "Stars" are for the boys and "flowers" are for the girls.

Because of the allergy constraint, Mom had to pick up foods that has only water and sugar and had to make it like a cake. What a challenge!
