"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Mom's big help

On a golden autumn afternoon, Dad decided to take a long nap, the boys were quite awake and Mom had tons of housework to do around the house. There is only one solution to this - put the boys to work!

If you really think they are helping mom, check out the video below.

Following are just some misc pictures.

Halloween Prelude

The Cabin John Train Station was haunted last Saturday. The boys explored the wooded area in the park along with other brave ones!

Port Discovery

If you think we "disappear", we are still around! Sorry for the slacking but moving from Germantown to Potomac took us nearly two months!

Just to show you we still care about the well-being of our boys I am posting some of the pictures we took recently at Port Discovery museum in Baltimore. This is a fabulous place for younger children. Alvin and Mason stayed there from the opening time to closing!

Mason is very deligent with his cleaning job.

Both boys have that "oriental focus" while playing toys.

He thinks something is going to pop?

I wish Mason share things with his brother like what he does with this pretty girl.

No worries. It is just a toy.

Alvin understands he needs those skills to earn his college funding.

Fast and Fabulous

First time saw Blue Angles' performance. The experience is indescribable. But to Alvin, Ava and Mason, the fun was too much to take - they all slept on the way home, skipped dinner and didn't wake up until the next morning.

Artwork on a Snow-in Day

Alvin and Mom both got a snow day off! Mom couldn't tolerate 9 hours with a toddler so she decided to give him a stack of paper to draw.

Surprisingly, Alvin drew all the pictures by himself and he even named each single one. Followings are some samples. He did all these without any supervision!

----------------------------
1. Whole Family: Alvin loves to draw a whole family picture. The biggest one is always Daddy.

----------------------------

2. Spaceship: it is pretty cool, right? I didn't know there are 3 parts of a spaceship.

----------------------------
3. Snowman in honor of our Snow Day

4. Moon and Alvin

----------------------------
5. Monsters: I think they look more like ghosts.

6. Little Boy with a big Belly button

7. Alvin's portrait

8. Alien with a STOP sign (he wrote the word from right to left)

Let it snow!

To Chicago folks, this storm is probably a sneeze but for us, it is a historical one. I don't really know how many inches we got but after a day of digging, we couldn't even get one car out and we probably have to sleep with the help from Advil tonight.
