"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Alvin's Birthday

To challenge his busy mom, Alvin requested two birthday parties - one with his friends in daycare and one with other friends hosted in our house.

As you can tell below how much sugar they had for that day. No wonder why they were super hyper and enjoying themselves.

What brothers should be...

very precious moments for the boys. Don't forget to turn on the volume to hear their laughs and singing.

Zoom to the zoo

Every year, we paddle to the zoo for two reasons: one is to save $20 on the expensive parking. The other one is to make the boys workout. Not stroller, on feet and on bike. It is win-win solution.

We zipped through the jungle...

by the stream...

across a bridge...

another one...

and one more ...

after some exhausted pushes, finally we got to the zoo ...

Transformers 3 Preview

We have been slacking in updating our blog and the boys well-being but a video is worth a million words.

Transformers 3 is coming to theater later this month but we have a preview of a revenge flight between Bumble Bee and Starscream.

Our View of the Universe

Something caught my eyes when I sat down on a bench outside of the "Explore the Universe" exhibit in the Air and Space museum.

The text reads, "Since people first gazed up at the stars, we have searched for answers to such questions. When our view was limited by what our eyes could see, the sky was our universe. Then telescopes deepened our view, photography enhance it, and spectroscopy broadened it. The Universe grew from a sky of stars to a realm of galaxies, to an expanding universe of galaxies."

There is always something inspiring our lives.

2010 into 2011

Holiday comes and goes but we managed to attend two parties in friends' houses and had two parties in our house. Plus, Alvin and Mason had two wonderful "big sisters" staying over for several days! What a holiday treats for the boys!

We also visited the annual DC Botanic Garden display, a unique exhibit with train show and replicas of DC and world famous buildings and monuments. It is amazing to see that all replicas were made in real plant material as you will see in the pictures followed. If you miss this year's display, you have a year to regret!

No worries...they are not sitting on cactus

Do you see lotus roots in the picture followed?

How many landmarks can you name?
