"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

What happens in Vegas...

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. You know we are talking about your gambling money.

It also holds true for Alvin's behavior in his daycare center. To parents, Alvin has always been a quiet and shy boy. But, yesterday, Ms. Mary told mom that Alvin can be very social and wild. He jumped and danced and laughed, and even held his fellow buddy Preston's hands for a dance. This is not the only thing Alvin hides from his parents. He learned to count 1 to 10 in English and he knows how to sing along with teachers - "ABC" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". We later tested him at home and sure enough, my boy knows more than we could imagine.

Acutally, starting from couple weeks back, Alvin became "smarter". He started to put words together to construct phases and even sentences. That is a breakthrough for his language skill. He loves to learn new words, often asks parents the things he is interested in, again and again. He practices his new words everyday by pointing to the objects and naming them.

Thats happens in Vegas..hehehe. Its so great to see when your child can communicate with you can tell you what they want, how they feel, where they are hurt, etc...Its so much easier than to guess at everything and soon you know it you will start to tell him everything with a "NO"..hehehe
