"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Guangzhou, China

Alvin wants to visit all the tallest buildings around the world, which is very hard to fulfill.  But just like other parents, we make every effort to make his wish come true.  So, during the Spring break, we traveled half of the globe to Guangzhou and Dubai.

Due to jet lag, we woke up early in the morning so why not a trip to the "tallest" mountain in Guangzhou - BaiYun mountain.

By the time we reached to the top of the mountain, it was only 8am.  McDonald just opened on time to his loyal customer Alvin.

After climbing up the mountain, we headed to downtown to see the tallest buildings in Guangzhou.

Canton Tower is #1 in China and #4 in the world.

CITIC Plaza is #3 in Guangzhou

The beautiful red flower Alvin is holding is the city flower of Guangzhou.

Every big city has a river runs through.  To make it more memorable, we took a night tour on Pearl river.
