"A successful man is someone who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty ; who always looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. "
- a variation of "Success" by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Evening Outing

Summer has been hot and humid so we alter our evening activities based on the weather.

A hot day is our swimming lesson day. Alvin is getting tan lately because we have been trying to take him to the swimming pool in the evening. Our goal is to make him feel comfortable with water by the end of the summer. The lazy Dad gave up on teaching Alvin swimming so the already-sleep-deprived Mom has to take over the job. Between walking Mason in the morning and accompanying Alvin to swimming pool in the evening, and plus running errands during lunch time, Mom uses up every bit of her energy in her "free time" - not to mention she has a regular job and an evening-into-night babysitting job!
A breeze day is our family stroller and bike ride day. Look at Alvin's new Elmo helmet!
